Descripción del Tour:

The Lima walking food tour will commence with a pickup from your hotel in Lima (if you choose private service), or we can meet you at the Grand Hotel Bolivar (for group service) located in Lima's historical center.

Our culinary journey starts at San Martin Square, a site recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1988 and inaugurated in 1921. Here, you'll marvel at historical edifices such as the National Club.

As we stroll down Jiron de la Union, you'll discover this iconic street bustling with history and commerce. We'll pause at a local eatery to savor an exquisite pork sandwich called “Pan con chicharrón,” a delightful street food made with pork, fried sweet potato, and onion sauce.

The Lima food tour then ventures into the Central Market, a treasure trove of products at great prices. You'll have the opportunity to taste fresh local Peruvian fruit and explore the market at your leisure.

Our journey continues to the Chinese neighborhood. Chinese immigrants arrived in Peru in the 19th century to fill labor shortages along the coast. Here, we'll enjoy Chinese snacks and wander through its vibrant market. No visit is complete without trying “Chifa,” a beloved fusion of Peruvian-Cantonese cuisine popular among local families.

Next, we'll proceed to the Convent of San Francisco to admire the surrounding architectural beauty. Here, you'll indulge in “Churros,” a traditional pastry filled with dulce de leche. We'll also visit one of the city's oldest bars to relish a delectable “Causa rellena” and refresh with “Chicha morada,” a sweet beverage made from purple corn.

Renowned for its culinary excellence, Peruvian food is among the finest in South America. The City of Kings offers a plethora of dining options and exceptional food tours like this one.

The tour proceeds through the Main Square to a lively street lined with food carts. Here, you'll sample “Anticuchos,” grilled beef heart skewers marinated in spices, and “Picarones,” a dessert made from pumpkin and sweet potato, served with sugar cane syrup.

We'll also try another Peruvian dessert, “Mazamorra Morada,” crafted from purple corn. To conclude this incredible experience, we'll savor “Emoliente,” a popular hot beverage with medicinal properties in Peru.

At the end of this remarkable food tour, we'll part ways at Jiron Camana for the group service, or return you to your hotel for the private service.
