Once we pick you up from your hotel in Lima, our city tour will commence at the remarkable Larco Museum, nestled in the charming neighborhood of Pueblo Libre. Established by the renowned Peruvian archaeologist Rafael Larco Hoyle in 1926, this museum is housed in a stunning mansion with exquisite gardens from the eighteenth century.
The Larco Museum boasts an extensive collection of over 5000 pieces of pre-Columbian art, featuring gold and silver artifacts, ceramics, and erotic art. As we move through the museum's impressive halls, we'll explore the fascinating history of ancient Peruvian civilizations.
Our tour will then lead us to the historic center of Lima. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1988, this area is rich with stunning squares, colonial mansions, and a wealth of history. We'll visit Casa de Aliaga, a colonial house dating back to 1536, brimming with priceless art and history.
