Tour Description
The day trip kicks off bright and early. We'll pick you up from your hotel in the city of Lima and take you to the bus station to begin a 4-hour journey to the town of Paracas. Upon arrival, we’ll escort you to the Pisco airport.
Here, you'll embark on an exhilarating 1.5-hour flight over the enigmatic Nazca Lines. During this aerial tour, you'll witness remarkable figures such as the monkey, the spider, the Condor, and other intriguing designs etched into these stunning plains.
These incredible geoglyphs were created by the Nazca culture, a pre-Inca civilization that thrived between 700 B.C. and 200 A.D. The drawings are best viewed from the air and are situated 280 miles south of Lima. First seen in 1547, it wasn't until 1929 that Peruvian archaeologist Julio C. Tello began studying them. In 1994, the Nazca Lines were honored as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
Following the Nazca Lines tour, you’ll be transferred to your hotel in Paracas for a well-earned afternoon of relaxation.
The tour resumes early as we pick you up from your hotel in Paracas. We head to El Chaco pier and board a boat to explore the Ballestas Islands, part of the stunning Paracas National Reserve. These rocky isles lie just 30 minutes from the Peruvian coast.
Experience an extraordinary marine life, observing sea lions and a variety of birds like Humboldt penguins and pelicans, along with other migratory species. From the boat, you'll also glimpse the renowned Candelabrum, a massive geoglyph possibly linked to the Nazca culture. Prepare to be amazed by the beauty of the Peruvian coast.
After the excursion, we'll transport you back to the bus station for your return trip to Lima and arrange your transfer to the hotel.
